A taste of Paris

For a real Parisian experience, check out Paris Délice located along Makati Ave. It's this small but classy place that serve breads (imported from Paris - true story), sandwiches and pastries at an affordable price. Now, who said its expensive to have a taste of Paris? Oh and and it's healthy for you! They don't serve fried food :)

All-meat pasta

This is another favorite of mine from Pancake House...the all-meat rigatoni pasta. The dish is not heavy yet not too light. It's just perfect. It's a tomato based rigatoni pasta combined with slices of Hungarian sausage and pepperoni topped with melted cheese and Parmesan. Yum Yum Yum! A must-try!

Let's get Twisted!

Oh yes...the Mcdonald's Twister fries is back. Everyone is excited about this, especially me. It's a seasonal favorite. I think what makes it so special is that it is not part of their regular menu, so people really look forward to it. I just had one earlier (thanks to my friend, Bot!), one craving down..more to go! :)

C2 Classic Cuisine

The other day Camille and I (yes, we're both named Camille), went on a food trip. We were in Megamall and came across this restaurant called C2 Classic Cuisine. The place is all about modern Filipino cuisine. Camille told me they serve good food and so we went in for merienda

Their menu was loaded with typical Filipino food but with a twist. Everything looked good so we felt like we had to try not one but at least five from their menu. So much for merienda, right?

We started off with dessert, their famous Bibingka Souffle - light and fluffy blend of coconut custard, salted egg, quezo de bola and toasted coconut. It looked like a cupcake with frothy filling inside with chopped salted egg underneath all that fluffiness. You have to really dig deep into it to get all that flavor before dipping it in it's sauce. It was a pleasant treat. Definitely a must-try!

Then we ordered their sizzling dinuguan. This I enjoyed as well. We also had arroz caldo and tokwa't baboy. Their tokwa't baboy was a bit of a disappointment. It's sauce was a little sweet for me.

We ended our food tasting with their champorado mousse. I was never a fan of champorado but when I tried their mousse version, I was converted. Chocolate rice porridge at the bottom , chocolate pudding in the middle topped with cream and otap. Yum!

C2 Classic Cuisine is located at The Atrium of SM Megamall.

Vita italiana trattoria

We tried this italian resto called Vita italiana trattoria located at the ground floor of Robinson's Metro East for merienda.

The place looked simple but classy. The lighting was nice and cozy with bossa nova music playing in the background.

The prices were not bad as well. I ordered their pasta arabiatta. It was good. It had spicy red sauce, tomatoes and basil. Yum!

The mozzarella balls was a bit of a disappointment. It was hollow inside, like the main ingredient was missing. It had a garlic based dip which was fine since i like garlic. The carbonara was also good.

They had this promo where you could get a 9 inch pizza with one topping for only P99! So we ordered one with pepperoni topping. It wasn't that bad as well. Thin crust pizza that's close to amici's.

It's a good place to eat. A place that would be perfect in malls like greenbelt. It's a shame that they're located at the ground floor in line with the department store and clothes shops. They should be located together with the other restos. That's just my opinion though :)

Anyway, if ever you're in that area, do check the place out and have some good pasta or pizza at an affordable price :)

Gurts

I got really sad when I found out that Red Ribbon took out Blueberry Cheesecake from their menu. I like their Blueberry Cheesecake. I know there are alot of other food places who serve good Blueberry Cheesecake (might even be better than Red Ribbon's) but I just got used to theirs.

The pull-out was so sudden. It's like my taste buds were left hanging. So I had to move on and find an alternative.

Who knew yogurt was the answer. I know yogurt places have been sprouting almost everywhere but I was never a fan of yogurt...up until I tried Gurts by Pancake House.

It was as close I could get to Blueberry Cheesecake. You can choose as many toppings as you want, from fresh fruits, cereals, chocolates to nuts. So, I had the blueberry+new york cheesecake+graham crackers combination. And boy, was it good :)

It was like eating Blueberry Cheesecake (well, obviously it basically had the same ingredients except that it was yogurt). But still. I was happy with it and crave for it up to now.

It's also perfect if you want to cool down on a hot day. I have yet to try other toppings that would make a good combination. But as for now, I stick with the Blueberry Cheesecake flavor :) So sue me.

I love Newtons!

I just love Newtons. Strawberry Newtons. I almost forgot about them up until I found them in South Supermarket Alabang branch. It got me excited and bought one right away.

And it was heavenly. Just how I remembered it to be. It had just the right amount of sweetness. Even more perfect when eaten just out of the fridge. It's the perfect dessert. It doesn't give you that full feeling even after a heavy meal.

Every bite leaves you smiling...leaves you wanting more and before you know it, you're half way down the pack already :)

By the way, you can also get a hold of these goodies at S&R.

Indulge yourself :)
